UNIQUE DESIGN PROVIDES SMOOTHER PROCESSING
General Saami tolerances allow for .015″ difference from the case head to the inside surface where the flash hole meets the powder. This .015″ can make a huge difference when swaging or priming. No matter what case you set your hold down depth off of, you will always have cases that are either loose and cause plate flex, or you will have cases that cause the hold down to crush into the primer pocket and put extreme torque on your tool head. The F.W. Arms™ Dynamic Spring Hold Down allows our hold down tip to adjust to each individual case. Smoother swaging, and more consistent priming mean a better reloading experience. The F.W. Arms™ Micro Dynamic Hold Down can be used both as a dynamic hold down or as a static hold down.
We advise static use over the swage station if you tend to have ringers.
Comes with our Absolute Position Buttons for proper setting.
NOTE: This unit has some internal parts that don’t allow for proper use with rifle cases, we are offering the unit at discount. The tip diameter is about the same diameter as a small primer and I know the first thought is to have the tip face as broad as possible. However, because the Dynamic Hold Down prevents over camming, users will not have to worry about collapsed primer pockets.
Priming
If you plan on using the F.W. Arms™ Dynamic Hold Down over the priming station on a 1050/1100, you will need a threaded tool head. Also, the stock Dillon primer arm clamp will not allow clearance for the dyanamic hold down so you will need to puck up our PrimeTime™ primer upgrade found here: PrimeTime™ by F.W. Arms™ Presses such as the Mark 7 Apex, and Revolution are ready for the die as they ship. Frankford Arsenal users may use the dynamic hold down over prime as long as users have not used the powder relocation kit to move powder next to prime.
