So after about 2 years of people using these in the field we found the need to update the product. Most of you will notice that we’ve swapped our gold cap for a black cap. This is because we’ve upgraded the material the cap is made of. No more aluminum, now an all steel design. We’ve swapped the knurls our for 15/16″ flats on the decapper unit, as well as machined a custom flange nut for the top that allows a user to get on it with a 5/8″ wrench. No more locking pliers or channel locks. The steel can get a gold zinc color but the samples we had just didn’t look that good and the zinc is prone to chipping. We’ve left the finish bare to contrast nice with our black decappers.
We’ve also made some major upgrades to the shuttle. We now use an alloy steel shuttle in the swage unit as it will hold up much better than the brass. We’ve also upgraded the shuttle retention nose to a tool steel nose. We heard back from a number of people that had issued with cases jumping their plates causing the case to sometimes end up under the swage nose and crash into the head of a case and dinging the unit. Much much much less chance of that happening now.
DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED IN THE USA USING AMERICAN SOURCED MATERIALS AND TOOLS
If you’re using an automated Super 1050 to process rifle brass you know what a pain the swage station can be. Nipped necks, crushed cases, not to mention the slow speeds you need to run. From the casual reloader to the large processor, the FW Arms™ Swage Foot is the perfect addition to your die lineup. Using the same patented design the FW Arms™ Auto-Center Decapper, ensure your swage foot goes inside the case every time. Since the FW Arms™ Swage Foot centers your case, our new swage foot design eliminates damage to your case from misalignment. This means less down time, less scrap, and higher efficiency. Enjoy high speed swaging in your progressive press.
Mark 7® Evolution/Revolution USERS
Guess what! You can use your F.W. Arms™ Foot to hold down the case in the primer station. Tighten up your primer seat depth deviation by eliminating shell plate flex. It’s like you’re getting 2 dies for the price of one!
SUPER 1050 USERS
At the moment the FW Arms™ Auto-Center design is compatible with cases up to 2.25″ in length that have a neck I.D. no less than .22 This was decided based on which cases are most likely processed in large batches such as .223 Rem, or .308 Win. Check back soon for new models to fit longer cases such as 3006 and 7mm Rem Mag.
SINGLE STAGE USERS
Are you currently using swage kits that come with a backer rod and require you to guide the case up into the die? No more, swap your existing swager backer rod die out for the FW Arms™ Swage Foot and see how much easier it is to swage in in a single stage press.
Each die comes with our Premium Nut. Turned from solid steel hex stock, these nuts are still 1″ across the flats and measure .305″ thick. If you want some F.W. Arms nuts click here!
