Always wear eye protection when using F.W. ARMSTM products. Keep clear of any moving parts. Auto-drive users: Ensure use of any safety barriers your machine may have come with when machine is in automated motion.
To set the F.W. Arms™ Simple Decapper, install the desired shell plate you intend to use.
Ensure that no die is in the decap station. Bring the tool head to down most position, or place shell plate up against dies depending on press style you are using.
Screw the F.W. ARMSTM Simple Decapper into your tool head until the nose piece bumps the shell plate. Unscrew the die 1/4 turn, and lock die in place using supplied nut and 1” wrench.
Insert supplied double end pin into the collet until approximately 9/16 of pin is protruding from the top of collet. Do not attempt to use another brand pin as you may damage collet, collet nut, die, or all three.
Finger tighten the collet nut until you feel the nut bump, then take care to finger tighten until one vertical line on the nut lines up with a vertical line on the die.
Using a 7/8” or 21mm wrench, tighten collet nut 2.5 vertical lines worth of rotation on the die, using vertical line on nut as reference.
You have completed setup and are ready to decap.
